Muchas Gracias

For ~$7, we brought home a very large container of food, some corn tortillas, and hot sauce. It was enough to fill me and my 3 year-old and still have some left over for later. Good times.

In itself, Muchas Gracias doesn't stand out that much for me. It's a chain (albeit an Oregon-based chain) of Mexican tacquerias scattered about the Portland area. This location is its first touchdown in Central Portland (in the shell of a former KFC). I've never found their burritos to be that exciting, but some people really like the place. If I'm not totally plussed on the food, then why include this review in a guide where line space is at such a premium? Well, I'll tell you: THEY ARE OPEN 24 HOURS! So finally, if it's 3 am, and you just finished up a night of drinkin' on the town, or you just finished Zoobombing from K2, or it's 5am and you're stumbling home from a Midnight Mystery Ride, well, now you have a place to eat that is less sweet than a run to Voodoo and less distant than Javiers all the way up on N Lombard. (And they will serve pedestrians and cyclists at late hours, unlike those jerks over at Taco Bell.) Really, going during the middle of the night is the best way to experience Muchas Gracias. Otherwise, head up to a place like Don Pancho or Los Gorditos.
A friend is sick and I want to bring them some soup.
Where in Portland can I find the most awesome vegetarian soup??
Muchas gracias.
And the word "soup" has lost all meaning. It's a strange word anyway, yeah?
MY STOMACH IS EXPLODING COURTESY OF MUCHAS GRACIAS (on n.e. Weidler). All I can say is they are not worth it. I was once fooled by the temptation of 24 hour Mexican but the Iraq war going down in my stomach ala Carne Asada Burritoz is NOT worth the trouble and NOT cute. Please stick to La Bonita on Alberta or any other assorted Taqueria on the EAST SIDE.
MUCHAS HELL TO THE NO!!!

I saw some local news teaser on *gag* Fox about weird meat in a local "Muchas Gracias" burrito or something. My husband eats that stuff just about every day in Vancouver. I tried to sit through the horrible drivel to get to the story but I had to take a break to have a stiff drink and try to get through the rest (or something) and I must have missed it.
Anyone know what the hell? Which Muchas Gracias? Has my husband been eating fingers? Because that's just yucky.
