i know, know, know we have chapbook publishing types here. i'd like to print one locally. i have a designer and the writing, but no printer, for an offset run of, i don't know, 250 copies. maybe 500. i know about lulu and, more locally, pinball publishing. pinball seems pretty rad; i've loved the print products of theirs i've come across.

i want a small size book (ideally 4.5 x 5.75) and pretty, pretty type-setting. have you printed a chapbook/self-published a book and where? i'm steering away from print on demand / just going to kinkos because it's such both a small project and quality is of the utmost importance. pinball would be $1250 for the run and has the quality i'm looking for. is there any place that's less, but of similar quality in portland? know of any printing studios to diy (the iprc is a little low-fi for what i'm envisioning, which is an artist's book sorta collection of short fiction.)
