Blind Pilot began three years ago as the humble duo of singer/guitarist Israel Nebeker and drummer Ryan Dobrowski. In the ensuing years, the group has ballooned into a nine-piece "collective", replete with vibraphonist and multiple string players.

Starfucker closed out Day 2 of Portland's annual local music festival, playing "Go Crazy" to a packed, appropriately crazed crowd.

I'm not normally a fan of metal, but these guys were really crazy-awesome. The fans were headbanging up at the front of the stage, and there was a semi-decent mosh pit behind them. If I didn't have my camera to worry about, I'd probably have joined in. Moshing is fun!
