WebVisions continues to serve as Portland's premiere Web design and development conference. And, in 2009, it could be our only major tech conference of the summer.
I mean, we already lost RailsConf 2009, and if the rumors of OSCON relocation hold true...
There was even rumors that OSCON 2009 will take place in another city (The Bay [...]

I really enjoyed last year's Webvisions with some interesting talks by Stewart Butterfield, BJ Fogg, Molly, Thomas Vander Wal and more. It looks like this year's is rounding into form as well with Dan Cederholm, one of my favorite designers, coming to town.

As audiences demand more personal attention in their consumer relationships, successful sales and marketing require targeting these consumers with creative niche efforts. One area where this trend has manifested is the broader use of microsites - campaign-specific webpages that we've all seen, maybe even built.
Where microsites often fail, however, is in a lack of macro-thinking - they serve a limited function and leave no opportunities to build a larger relationship. This presentation will impart key insights on how applying strategic big-picture thinking in the use of microsites can improve the quality of your sales conversations.
Moderator: Phil Topness, Engagement Manager, Ascentium
Speakers:
Brad Smith, Executive Director, Webvisions Conference
Mike Caplan, Director of Client Services, Ascentium
Theo Spanos, Channel Marketing Manager, Intel

Well, another WebVisions is in the books. And given that I wasn't able to attend, I've been really happy to see a ton of write-ups on the event.
I can't keep all this goodness to myself, so I thought I'd provide a round-up on all the comments and posts I've found.

This last Thursday and Friday was the annual WebVisions conference here in Portland. 2008 marks my 4th year in attendance, and I definitely look foward to it every year. You can't beat the price, it's one of the cheapest conferences around and with it being local, there's really not much excuse not to [...]
