In a feat that many claimed too lofty of a goal for two ordinary guys from the ranks of Empire Group, Jon and Roy this summer ventured to fulfill their dream of becoming triathletes. All of a sudden Orange Chicken from Panda Express was replaced with deli food from Whole Foods and late nights playing Xbox were replaced by late nights at 24 Hour Fitness.
After several months of preparation, all the hard work paid off on race day. Both finished successfully within respectable times; Roy even finished first in his division. Plans are being made for Team Empire to conquer more triathlons next year.
Julian deserves honorable mention for talking about doing the triathlon, although he failed to do so due to illness. Instead he took on the role of coach and provided us with this great video footage, exposing the inner workings of Jon and Roy's success

A new Panda Express restaurant is rising in Tualatin. The Chinese food eatery with wood frame walls is at 17799 S.W. 65th Ave. T.J. Nisbet Construction Inc., a Clackamas general contractor specializing in restaurant construction and renovation, is building the project that was designed by Beaverton firm Reiter Design Group Architects Inc.
