What really really really matters!
It's not always about decoration tone color craftsmanship taste labels or what not.
What matters is that it speaks its own language vibrates to its own beat.
Picasso was a great painter but he realized that his gift was not his ability to draw and paint beautiful life like specimens but to take apart the balance that we were accustomed too.
His brush turned into scissors his artistic eye got polished into a diamond with many more facets than it was common at the time.
When I take something that is either used up or has no more value or both or something else that has a function in daily life and does not register as a piece of Art and bring them together it blows new life force into its allotted prediction to allow fresh information to be gained.
An umbrella in a flower pot all of a sudden illuminates a metaphor for the planets fragile ecosystem.
White bread becomes Wonder Bread when laid out like a Mandala on a city square reminds us about waste and starvation and that life is TBA a time based spectacle free of charge to the participant.

Liberation

Talking thinking creating displaying a new version of something
that has been explored before in many artistic languages
happenings that sweat with the lust of ornate language
like ripe fruit titillating the brain
Symbols of past and present guide desires to conquer the screen of liberation
ready for digestion by a angry populous
fragments of delusion fight for recognition
hot thoughts belch out narrowed vocabulary
Yelling with freakish pitch its message into
the abyss of the intellect
discourse is distorting the time space relations
bouncing like the echo of the howl of gallery walls
beg with estranged messages for understanding
to find completion in the act
copulating with the other ways of thinking
to reorient the self and its path to be of value
for a greater good that leads to a greater world

Visual enticement beckons us to pay attention
to our own wants and needs instead of that of
the prescribed pharmaceutical stimulants
that alter our Ego but not our heart

The naked issue where nobody is naked
The scene
In the window of a book store chain wishing the small cozy stores from yester years would still be an option.
It's me looking out at a mall parking lot wishing it were a lively street with happy people strolling.
I am browsing through the newest "Flap" of "Attitude" staring at a group shot of a bunch of guys above the headline " Keeping it real" with all their genitals covered with a colored banner over them with their name on it as if their penises had names and not them.
An older guy walks by not that I am young but as long as I see myself as younger there will be that kind of older than me guys
he walks by and stops in his tracks veers of his beaten path towards the coffee bar comes closer and stares with his mouth wide open exposing a set of fake yellow teeth.
There was nothing obscene to see but he gave me that look like how dare you to open a mag like this in public the look that exposes a mind brain washed into thinking that the naked human body is dirty evil imperfect or disgusting.

Artist Statement:



One can say "Art is but the reflection of everything that exists visible or invisible".

Art also is an exploration into the subconscious to reveal hidden emotions

and to bring them to the surface.

Art serves as a conduit for desire and it can be a vehicle for escapism.

With the artistic tools of an urban shaman I will try with this show to excavate sacred truths from the realms of life and by using my freedom of expression I'll attempt to positively affirm that life is worth its ultimate price which is life itself.

Wonder statement
"Wonderland" the escape from desire & the desire to escape

or when enough is not enough when the hole we try to fill is somebody else's wishful thinking
when we lose perspective about proportion and effect
when others have real hunger and we hunger for attention when all the accolades create only a wish to vanish when the infinite cycles of love & pain & lust & despair become nauseating and we don't remember where the breaks are.

Society is not our guide but intuition is.
Society tells us we are not enough as we are and that we need to enhance ourselves with riches real or imagined because society is just an empty idea made by our mind so we can self reflect and find our place in the pecking order of the unfolding universal creation.
A bigger house or dick wont satisfy us for long and we start to stray from a simple healthy life style into a world of escapism which promises us constant entertainment but sooner than later we will become the butt of its joke.

As things get crazier and crazier we lose footing in the stable world and start living in a "Ersatz Reality" a replacement phantasm and try frenetically to adjust all of our habits towards its fulfillment until we can't recognize anymore who we were when we started out before we fell into "The wishing Well"

Never the less the wqheel keeps on turning and the show will go on

Bohemian Rhapsody Revived

Naked ambition exposed roles reversed ? revived as art returns to its promiscuous roots mixing and mingle with life styles and anachronistic tendencies.

Art as aphrodisiac as equal parts tranquilizer to saturate the emotional needs.
No sense to beat around the bush" life is apocalyptic" like it or hate it life doesn't give a fuck.
Counter culture is alive and well still delivers the escapist punch and lures with alternative life style choices.
It is hip to be round to be square to spit convention in its face mask to ridicule the "Status quo" while speaking from cloud Nine smoking pixie dust.
Nobody wants to grow and for sure not to grow up.

My devils fornicate with your desires my will be done onto you as long as you consent.
Just like a prayer still means shooting head first into the pipe dream at evanescent youth
Wringing ones soul out to "Thriller" as if it was truly an Art.
Rededicate re-designate your escape make it count on your biological clock like a ball point drawing that overlays its life lines like Olympians with a brain.
